Actually, anyone who knows me will say the exact opposite. Although there are a few exceptions, country music is far from my musical tastes (as Alex will attest and my girlfriend will lament). Even with this, the 11-part series on the history of country music that NPR has been playing has given me a far greater appreciation for the genre, and even made me think that I might just find some styles of country I like. Check it out, it's a good listen. A couple parts haven't been broadcast yet, but you can hear all the parts that have, plus interviews with notables in the field, by going here.
NPR's Morning Edition had a great interview this morning with the foremost export on music parodies, "Weird Al" Yankovic. It's very interesting stuff and covers a lot of material from his latest CD, Poodle Hat. At the link above, you can find an extended version of the interview that was played on the radio. Great stuff, with a lot of clips from his new songs. Take a listen, or just Eat It.
MSNBC had an interesting article today about God, theology, and video games. Commentary to come later. For now, read the article and share your thoughts.
